Spanish wine in Sweden

Summer is getting off on the right foot in Stockholm, with the annual Spanska Vin- och Gastronomidagen fair (organized by Spanish Trade Commission in Stockholm and ICEX Spain Trade and Investment), featuring Spanish wine and food. Held on May 27th, attendance was high (more than 370 people) at the event, which catered to a wide-ranging public, from sector professionals to consumers.

The fair was held at the Grand Hôtel, as has become customary and which provided the perfect backdrop for meetings between Swedish importers, Spanish companies, HoReCa representatives, and journalists.

More than 20 Swedish wine importers attended, reflecting a very diverse Spanish wines offer. Sweden started to import Spanish wines some decades ago, but nowadays Swedish consumers can enjoy a wider range of wines from Spain, including more than 40 denominations of origin.
