Triple beer taxes in Russia

Next year, tax on beer will be the threefold of the current level. Consumption tax will increase to 9 rubles per liter (about 55 HUF) in Russia – announced Alexei Kudrin Minister of Finance.
Further increases are expected in the next few years. According to the visions of the Russian government, in 2012 tax will increase to 12 rubles per liter. The consumption tax increase is also must be approved by the parliament – reports Pénzcentrum.hu after Bloomberg.
