Trends of the near future
According to the experts of the American Restaurant Association, the following culinary trends are likely to prevail in the near future: vegetarian cuisine will continue its conquest, gyros and kebab will be made at more places than ever before – using as many meat types as possible and special ingredients, coloured waffles will appear on the scene, the new generation of protein bars will be available, food with some kind of special story – a heritage – will be more and more popular, among alcohol-free drinks tamarind, guava and other exotic flavours will be used, ciders made with hop will hit the market, Philippine cuisine will become trendy.
