Trans-Sped: expect delays and price increases in logistics
Delays, price increases, and disruptions in world trade are to be expected in the coming months, after several of the largest shipping companies have indefinitely suspended the passage of container ships through the Suez Canal as a result of the political events of the past few weeks, the complex logistics service company Trans-Sped has warned. in a statement sent to MTI on Thursday.
Difficulties in the logistics industry affect the operations of the entire world. The logistics companies’ schedules, planned months in advance, will be disrupted, the production and manufacturing companies will receive their orders at a higher price compared to the calculated delivery fees, and there may be a shortage in trade – quotes Attila Mihály, the company’s expert, in the announcement.
He noted that the uncertainty is increased by the fact that the names of the ships traveling in the endangered area are now not shown on the platforms, on which the ships’ routes could be continuously followed, for security reasons.
