Univer mayonnaise remains the market leader
The competition is getting sharper on the market of condiments, but the fully Hungarian-owned Univer still the market leader with a 43.7 percent market share. The company will held a culinary history event, called Mayonnaise Academy.
The preservative-free Univer mayonnaise production has started this year, at the new plant of Univer Product Zrt., where the latest technology has enabled the expansion in production level range to make preservative-free products. Currently one-third of the mayonnaise is sold by Univer in Hungary. Last year the Univer Product Zrt., had a net turnover of 13.2 billion HUF. Approximately 35 percent of the company’s annual turnover comes from mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup products.
