Employers remain cautious about recruiting new workers
According to the ManpowerGroup’s Workforce Forecast, in the first half of 2021 Hungarian employers plan to increase their workforce by 3 percent on average. The company asked more than 500 Hungarian employers about the topic. Another result of the survey was that only 22 percent of the companies think their recruitment activity will return to the pre-pandemic level within a year.
The hospitality sector is the biggest loser of the pandemic situation: another 13-percent layoff wave is expected in early 2021. There are regional differences too: while in Central Hungary the expectation is a 12-percent recruitment growth, in the South West and the South East 6-percent layoffs are envisaged. //
