Coffee is still a popular and specific drink
In the first half of 2010, 84 percent of Hungarian households bought coffee. Most of them, 65 percent bought ground roasted coffee; the second most popular was 3in1 and cappuccino with a 30-percent share each. A significant number of people buy instant products too. Households stick with their main coffee type, most of the time they choose from the products in 1 or 2 segments. Among those who only buy ground roasted coffee, many live in small towns or villages. 3in1 buyers tend to be young Budapest dwellers with a rather high income.
