Food prices continue to increase
Researches show that until 2020 the world demand for wheat will increase by 12 to 15 percent, demand for pork by 20 percent, 24-25 percent for poultry and sugar – said Udovecz Gábor, Director of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute.
In Hungary, the annual food prices rose above the average inflation, with 6.4 percent. Compared to January last year, the price of flour has increased more than 30 percent and the rate of the so-called seasonal foods – fresh vegetables and fruit – were close to this.The cheese and sugar prices increased by nearly 10 percent – reports szabadfold.hu.
