U.S. consumers are still confident
Conference Board's consumer confidence index, increased to 55.9 points in January, from the 53.6 points of December. The recent positive data is a surprise. Analysts expected only 53.5 points.
The Conference Board's confidence index could increase for the third month now.
The index reflects on the situation assessment of the consumers, increased to 25 points, from the 20.2 points of December, the short-term prospects index also rose to 76.5 points – reports portfolio.hu.
