Renting out real estate is still the best-known source of passive income
Repeating its previous research from 2017, Profession.hu conducted a representative survey of the Hungarian population on the prevalence of passive income and the motivations behind the activity.
The results draw attention to two extremes: the majority of the adult population does not know the concept of passive income, while those who have this kind of income – based on the total population accessible online, this means approximately 1.2 million people – are largely satisfied with their activities.
Although 52 percent of the Hungarian adult population does not know the concept of passive income, after clarifying the definition, three-quarters of the respondents were already able to indicate the forms of income that belong to the category they know.
