Shopkeepers expect more trickery
Tricks may continue after the introduction of the new online cash machines, or at least the shopkeepers interviewed by Index stated. The NAV believes that the number and the value of scams will be minimized. This year, 43 billion more turnover was flown from business branches, where VAT frauds are traditional.
The majority of retailers surveyed by the Index has been prepared for the changeover. While according to Parragh László, the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) has notified the retailers for the changeover, most of the interviewed shopkeepers only heard about the new system from the media.
