Picnic continues French expansion
Dutch online supermarket Picnic continues its growth in the Paris region, adding 185,000 households to its delivery network. The retailer wants to provide home delivery to the whole Paris region before the year is over.
Picnic has significantly increased its delivery area in France by expanding into 22 municipalities in the Île-de-France region, including the departments of Hauts-de-Seine and Yvelines. With this expansion, the online supermarket now reaches an additional 185,000 households. This brings Picnic’s total coverage in the Paris region to 1.5 million households.
Deliveries to these newly added areas are handled from Picnic’s existing hubs in Thiais and Élancourt. Despite challenges in securing warehouse locations, Picnic remains committed to reaching a broader audience, French news website LSA reports. The company has announced its goal of providing home delivery services across the entire Paris region, including the city of Paris itself, by the end of this year.
