The shrinkage of retail continues
The volume of retail sales – adjusted from calendary effect – decreased by 4.7, percent in the first four months of 2010 and by 5 percent in April, compared to the same periods of the previous year – reports the Central Statistical Office.
According to the flash estimation of Eurostat; on the basis of the datas, adjusted from calendary effects – the volume of retail sales decreased by an average 1.6 percent in the European Union's 27 Member States, compared to the same period of the previous year. In the eurozone countries the decline was 1.5 percent in April 2010, compared to the same period of the previous year – reports Világgazdaság Online.
