Mineral water market continue to sparkle
There are 100 springs in Hungary which provide certified mineral water. Water from 45-50 of these is bottled. No major changes have taken place during the past two years in the market Only estimates are available regarding import, which is thought to account for 5 per cent of total sales. Total production is expected to be one billion litres in 2007, generating revenues of HUF 50-55 billion. Prices have been stagnating in recent years. Domestic consumption shows continuous increase, exceeding 100 litres this year.
