The cattle population has continued to grow
The cattle population has continued to grow and the number of sheep increased as well in a year, while pig and chicken stocks fell, and the number of poultry remained at level – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) published the data on Tuesday.
According to the livestock data on 1 June 2016, the number of cattle increased by 14 thousand compared to 1 June 2015, reaching 832 thousand, while the number of cows increased by 11 thousand to 377 thousand during the year. Compared to December 2015 the number of cattle increased by 12 thousand, while the number of cows increased by 10 thousand. (MTI)
