Lower production prices in November
n November 2014 agricultural production prices decreased by 6.8 percent from the level of November 2013. The price of vegetable products was down 8.3 percent and the price of livestock/products of animal origin fell 4.5 percent from the level of a year before. Cereal crops were 6.7 percent less expensive than they were in November 2013. The price of industrial vegetables plunged by 6.9 percent, but we had to pay 9.7 percent more for vegetables; fruits cost 29 percent less. Slaughter livestock production prices were 6.2 percent lower. Farmers could sell their eggs for 13 percent more but milk’s production price decreased by 4.7 percent.
