Baking industry concentrates further
While last year’s grain harvest was good, low buying prices were a disappointment to farmers. The baking industry has been concentrating for years; the number of small companies is declining, especially since multinational retail chains entered the competition. The number of employees in the sector has been between 25,000 and 27,000 for years.
