Continuing concentration of margarine sales
According to the Retail Index of Nielsen, the average price of margarine rose by 5 per cent in August-September, compared to the same period last year. Retail sales in terms of value show an increase of 5 per cent in the October 2006 – September 2007 period and are approaching HUF 18 billion. Retail sales continue to become increasingly concentrated. Private labels hold a relatively high market share of 25-26 per cent n terms of volume.
