The Hungarian nut conquers worldwide further
It is a good news that the Hungarian walnut is still highly sought product abroad. Hungary regularly exports to European countries such as England, Switzerland, Germany, Austria or Italy.
“The export balance of the Hungarian walnut was positive last year. But, unfortunately, the import of foreign-bred varieties shows an increase. Another threat is the cheap walnuts imported from Romania and Ukraine. Thise products are sometimes sold as Hungarian products”- Bujdosó Géza, scientific associate of the NAIK Pomology Research Institute said in his presentation.
