Inflation in the Czech Republic accelerated further in March
Inflation in the Czech Republic was 12.7 percent year-on-year in March after 11.1 percent in February, the Czech Statistical Office said in Prague on Monday. The index is now the highest since May 1998, when it was 13 percent.

Inflation approaching 13 percent in the Czech Republic
Fuel prices rose the most, reaching 50 percent higher in March than a year ago. The prices of electricity (by 24.7 percent) and natural gas (by 37.7 percent) also increased significantly.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 1.7 percent in March. (Kokes János, MTI)
