Manufacturer brands getting stronger
Fabric softener sales amounted to HUF 17 billion last year. Like-for-like value sales augmented by 9 percent but volume sales dropped 3 percent. Stores bigger than 2,500m² realised 39 percent of sales (down 1 percent) and drugstores’ market share was 13 percent (up 1 percent). Manufacturer brands were responsible for 92 percent of value sales – 1 percentage point more than in the previous year. Market players ordered television commercials for HUF 2.5 billion (at rate card price), 50 percent more than in the previous year.
