Airbnb strengthened further in the Budapest market
Airbnb was able to further increase its already high market share in Budapest, and in recent years, the regulations for downtown districts have not been able to curb its expansion in the capital.
Last year, the number of overnight stays at Airbnb hotels in Budapest was over 1.8 million, up 25 percent, compared to the year before – Colliers International told MTI on Monday. Airbnb’s market share based on the number of guest nights spent by the end of 2018 reached 20 percent and the number of bookable units in the capital grew by 10 percent in a year. (MTI)
