The occupancy rate of tourist hotels continued to rise in the Czech Republic
The number of guests in the Czech Republic’s, hotels, motels and campgrounds increased by almost ten percent in this year's second quarter on an annual level. This positive trend is lasting for five quarters.
According to the Czech Statistical Office (CSU), in April-June a total of 4.4 million people visited the commercial accommodations, which is an annual increase of 9.3 percent. The number of foreign and domestic tourists both increased: the number of domestic tourists by 10.4 percent and the number of foreign guests by 8.4 percent. (MTI, Kokes János)
