Tea can become more expensive in the next 12 months
The lack of global tea stocks can be 10 percent higher than this year's level for the next year. It can cause a price increasing effect on the market.
The drought in Kenya, Sri Lanka and India is behind the decline in tea production, which literally decimated the plantations and drove prices up into record heights. According to the projection of McLeod Russel India; the supply deficit can increase to 110 million kilograms, between May and June next year, compared with this year's deficit of 100 million kilograms – reports Bloomberg.
