Cocoa may become more expensive
Because of the huge Asian chocolate demand, the price of cocoa beans is in heights have not seen for three years, 3,133 USD per tonne. The expected long-term supply crunch may lead to further price rise – the Conclude Investment Ltd. (Conclude Befektetési Zrt.) told MTI.
According to the datas of the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO), the global cocoa supply is below the demand for the second year. This trend is expected this year as well, despite the fact that in the 2013-14 growing season that lasts from October to September the main West African producer, Ivory Coast and Ghana can reach a record volume.
