Lidl is further reducing its prices
As part of its price reduction program, Lidl Hungary is reducing consumer prices again, so that from February 2, more milk and dairy products, frozen fruit and vegetables, as well as toiletry products will be permanently cheaper. The price reduction affects 50 products, which can be purchased up to 40 percent cheaper, which can result in significant savings for Hungarian families.
One year ago, the department store chain was one of the first to launch its price reduction program, within the framework of which it now offers more than 600 products at permanently reduced prices. Thanks to this, you have to pay less for many foods that are popular and in demand among customers compared to before. The company clearly voted in favor of ensuring the best possible prices, thus breaking down food inflation, which it intends to continue with further price reduction measures in the new year. The results achieved by the supermarket chain are also confirmed by the fact that the Árhielő basket was the cheapest at Lidl on average in December, based on the unit price of the products. *
“Thanks to our price reduction measures since last January, we were able to provide our customers with such a price advantage that we contributed to reducing the expenses of Hungarian households. In the new year, we have set ourselves the goal of providing our customers with the best possible prices. As part of this, the prices of another 50 products will be cheaper from Friday, which cost an average of 10 percent less, but in the case of some products, the discount rate reaches up to 40 percent, which can save households thousands of forints per month.
– pointed out Judit Tőzsér, head of corporate communications at Lidl Hungary.
