Agricultural production prices reduced further
In June 2014 agricultural production prices decreased by 9.8 percent from the level of June 2013. The price of vegetable products was down 15.8 percent but the price of livestock/products of animal origin rose 1.9 percent from the level of a year before. Cereal crops cost 15.9 percent less and industrial vegetable prices were 15.7 percent lower than a year before. Potato prices dripped 45.4 percent thanks to the good potato yield expected this year. Vegetable was sold for 2 percent more but fruit’s production price plunged by 29.8 percent. Livestock production prices were 0.7 percent lower.
