Further reduction in the number of public sector employees

At enterprises employing at least 5 people, budgetary institutions and observed non-profit organisations 2,694,000 people were employed in January-November 2011 – 8,000 less than a year earlier. In the same period gross average wages were 4.7 percent higher than a year earlier. 735,000 people were working in the budgetary sector, where there was a 5 percent reduction (39,000 employees) in the number of employees. Those working full time earned a gross HUF 211,300.
