Retail sales declined further in the United States
The retail sales in the US declined by 0.8 percent, more than expected 0.5 percent in January, compared to December – the US Commerce Department announced on Thursday.
The retail sales declined in January for the second consecutive month, after the 0.9 percent after the decrease of December. Retail sales in November increased by 0.4 percent.
Apart from the car sales, the retail sales in January fell by 0.9 percent, the sam,e extant as in December 2014. Apart from the car sales and fuel, the retail sales rose by 0.2 percent in January. (MTI)
