Post/pre mix Colas continue to lose ground
According to Nielsen data, HoReCa sales of carbonated soft drinks amounted to over HOF 55 billion in the August 2006 – July 2007 period, with the rate of decrease in terms of value slowing down to 2 per cent. Average price per litre has been rising continuously this year, with HUF 547 in July, which was 12 per cent more than a year earlier. The market shares of sales channels remain unchanged, with 43 per cent for bars and buffets, 28 for restaurants, 16 for pubs and 7 for clubs. Cola flavour accounted for 55 per cent of total sales. Sales of pre/post mixes continue to fall, while that of bottled drinks continue to grow. Regarding packaging, the percentage of non-returnable plastic bottles and glass bottles continued to grow (39 and 26 per cent respectively in the August 2006 – Julay 2007 period).
