The law may provide free use of the terrace for restaurants
For the time being, only a government decree stipulates for local governments that, in view of the emergency, they may not collect public space usage fees from catering shops until 1 September, but a parliamentary committee amendment proposal would also include this rule in law – mfor.hu wrote.
The government ruled in early May that restaurants, pubs, espresso bars could use public spaces free of charge, thereby also compensating businesses for the adverse economic effects of the pandemic. The hospitality suffered greatly during this period, initially being able to provide at most their kitchen services to take away, but they could not receive guests for a long time. (mfor.hu, Baka F.
