The euro area saw the highest GDP growth in its history in the third quarter
In the third quarter, the seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) of the euro area grew by 12.5 percent from the previous quarter, the highest level since the beginning of the records in 1995. Eurostat’s first estimate showed slightly higher quarterly GDP growth of 12.6 percent for the third quarter. In the second quarter, GDP decreased by 11.7 percent in the euro area on a quarterly basis. (MTI)
