SABMiller sells its Russian and Ukrainian business branch to a Turkish beer manufacturer
SABMiller agreed with Turkey's Anadolu Group, and with its Istanbul-based beer interests (Anadolu Efes), to give the Russian and Ukrainian beer business branch to the latter.
The world's leading beer producer, the SABMiller group in exchange will receive a 24 percent stake in Anadolu Efes, which plays an important role in the expansion in the CIS countries, in Central Asia and in the Middle East.
The Turkish partner operates already 16 breweries, 7 malting plants and 20 Coca-Cola bottlers in 15 countries, including Russia, – writes Világgazdaság Online.
