Gluttonous Thursday Plus: professional restaurant week in Budapest
Held the Thursday after Ash Wednesday, Gluttonous Thursday is a day when participating restaurants offer 50% off their menu prices. The Hungarian Tourist Office began this tradition, which has grown in popularity each year. Restaurants offer discounts for lunch and dinner.
Zoltán Kiss, on behalf of DiningCity.com has mentioned that GT's are highly popular, and they try their best to control to the quality of the standard, but only one or two restaurants are problematic. It also happens in 10 percent of the situation that the registered guest does not arrive.
