The number of tourists visiting Cyprus fell to a fraction last year
As a serious economic consequence of the coronavirus pandemic, the number of tourists visiting Cyprus fell sharply, by 84.1 percent last year.
According to the Cypriot statistical office, more than 631,000 tourists visited the country, compared to the more than 3.9 million in 2019. In December, only 9,682 tourists arrived in the island nation, down 91.2 percent from a year earlier. (MTI)
