Zsolt Gyulay, Károly Gerendai, József Kreinbacher, Ráhel Orbán, Sándor Scheer, Szabina Szulló & Tamás Széll, József Váradi – these are some of the names of the 50 important players in Hungarian tourism who have been included in the recently published exclusive publication evaluating the sector’s performance in 2024.

Among the top 50 in tourism, 19 professionals are “newcomers”, meaning they are included in the compilation for the first time, while there are also 6 people whose performance has always earned them a place on the list in the past eleven years. The professionals not only report on their company’s 2024 results in the publication, but also share their plans and expectations for this year.

The top 50 list of Hungarian tourism was compiled from the evaluations of the professional jury formed by the partner organizations of the Hungarian Tourism Association Foundation and the editorial staff of the professional news portal Turizmus.com. The top list includes hotel chains, travel agencies, airlines, Michelin-starred restaurants, cultural institution managers, festival organizers, as well as businessmen and investors interested in the sector.

The 164-page volume, which features 50 influential figures in tourism, is actually about 100 people, as the top 50 list also includes couples who are inseparable from each other in terms of performance, and a separate chapter is also made up of the heads of professional organizations, the most successful mayors in the field of tourism, the most promising young professionals and – as a new element this year – expats who have been successfully working in Hungarian tourism for several years.

Turizmus.com is published by Turizmus Kft. This year, for the 11th time, it published its publication titled “50 Important Players in Tourism & Top 10 Expats, Professional Associations, Mayors and Young People”, which presents the most important players in the sector grouped thematically (attractions, investors, transportation, creative, hotel industry, travel, hospitality).
