Tony Curtis International Film Festival with the support of the National Film Institute
The Tony Curtis International Film Festival will begin on September 24. The “Prince of Hollywood”, Tony Curtis, was born on June 3, 1925.
On the occasion of the centenary, the Hungarian Hollywood Council has declared 2025 the Tony Curtis Memorial Year. The “crown” of the anniversary events will be the festival to be held in Mátészalka, the town of Tony Curtis’s parents, between September 24-27, which is organized by the Hungarian Hollywood Council, Origo Film Studio and the Mátészalka City Municipality with the support of the National Film Institute. The festival will screen 40 competition films and nearly 25 accompanying events with the participation of well-known Hungarian and foreign film professionals.
Tony Curtis’ five children are sending a message to the festival. We would like to thank the world-famous film actor’s widow, Jill Curtis-Weber, and Tony’s children, Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis, Kelly Curtis, Alexandra Curtis, Allegra Curtis, and Benjamin Curtis, for their support of the festival.
