Tokaj from Tokaji – Hungarian-Slovakian wine struggle
The Slovakian Minister of Agriculture asked help from the European Commissioner of Agriculture and Rural Development. Slovakia complains that Hungary changed its brand name Tokaj from Tokaji, this summer.
The Slovakian Minister considers that the change has occurred despite, according to the agreement between the two parties, legal changes should be consulted before the other party changes. Slovakia considers Hungary's step as the end of the negotiations.
The European Commission has adopted the Hungarian changes and also led into its electronic database – reports Népszabadság Online.
