Eggs by kilos?
The new regulation entered into force on 21 April can bring a breakthrough in the Hungarian egg market. The new regulation prescribes to indicate the unified price of eggs per kilogram.
With the changes, the consumers can clearly ascertain that the usually cheaper (S-labeled) eggs per unit are usually more expensive in weight, than the medium sized or large eggs. The kilogram price indication can contribute to reduce the effect of egg import, which according to an April survey, dramatically grew by more than 50 percent compared to last year.
