Egg Association: egg production this year may be similar to last year’s
According to forecasts, 1.1-1.2 billion eggs can be expected from domestically registered production this year as well, the secretary of the Hungarian Association of Egg Hybrid Breeders and Egg Producers (Egg Association) said at an online press conference on the occasion Friday’s World Egg Day on Tuesday.
Molnár Györgyi added that large-scale egg production fell to 540 million in the first half of the year, compared to the 580 million in the first six months of last year.
Revenues from egg production fell to 23.12 billion HUF last year, the secretary told MTI, who explained it by last year’s decline in production and the decline in the average price. (MTI)
