PENNY helped children in need with a multi-million donation
PENNY Hungary once again helped the well-being of the youngest with a donation of millions of forints in money and products on the occasion of Children’s Day. It is important for the company to support good causes through volunteer work, so this time the employees of the discount chain contributed to the cloudless relaxation of a total of 1,000 children in need.
“For PENNY, social responsibility is of paramount importance throughout the year; we support tens of thousands of children in need every year through various civil organizations. We are constantly looking for opportunities when we can provide real help, with special attention to children in need and their families. We believe that the future begins with the well-being of the young generation,”
– said Eszter Kazatsay, Head of Communications at PENNY Hungary.
Healthy delicacies and exciting programs
Cloudless joy and loud children’s laughter filled the Budapest City Park on the occasion of Children’s Day, to which PENNY contributed again this year. The company provided healthy treats to a total of 1,000 children in need through the Children’s Rescue Service, as well as playful activities, balloon distribution and a rest zone for families. The discount chain has been supporting the little ones through the International Children’s Rescue Service since 2018, during which time it has donated more than 11 million forints, bringing joy to a total of nearly 10,000 children.
More wishes come true
At PENNY, there is no need for Children’s Day or another special occasion to do charity: the company – as in previous years – is supporting the work of the Csodalámpa Foundation with a donation of 1 million forints this year, from which the organization can make the wishes of life-threateningly ill children come true. The joy experienced through wishes greatly promotes the positive mental state of children and their family members, which gives them a chance and hope for recovery.
“Every child deserves carefree moments and happy memories, especially when they have fewer opportunities to do so in their everyday lives. We are proud to support the invaluable work of the International Children’s Rescue Service and the Magic Lamp Foundation year after year through our long-term collaborations,”
added Eszter Kazatsay.
