Americans drink more since the crisis
People seem to drink more since the crisis: the USA sees a 1.4 percent increase in volume when it comes to alcoholic beverages – a new research by AC Nielsen points out.
Even though prices are higher than in the previous year, Americans seem to drink more alcoholic beverages nowadays than ever before. In March, Reny Cointreau has seen a 12.8 percent decrease in volume, while Constellation Brands and Davide Campari closed a successful month, with an increase in volume of about 7.7 percent. In the Easter-season, Americans seem to have preferred sweet flavours, the French orange liquor Cointreau was over 14.5 percent, wheras Bailey's did somewhhat better with its 8.3 decrease. The trendiest drink according to the research proved to be Jameson, with its 32 percent decrease in volume. The greatest increase belongs to the name of Constellation with a growth of 14.5 percent, while Davide Campari produced an 8.3 percent increase in traffic since the previous year.
