Almost 170,000 Hungarian farmers can receive hundreds of billions HUF in support
Hungarian farmers submitted almost 170,000 single aid applications to the Hungarian State Treasury by 15 May, of which more than 113,000 were submitted with the assistance of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK). Those affected could receive hundreds of billions of forints in support in the current difficult situation, the chamber told MTI on Monday.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several European countries have requested an extension of the submission deadline, while Hungary has undertaken to adhere to the pre-determined date, so the first, non-sanctioned submission period for this year’s single application has ended on 15 May. (MTI)
