Several countries have introduced import bans on poultry from Hungary
Due to the avian influenza virus detected in Békés county, several countries outside the European Union have banned the export of live poultry and poultry products from Békés county and from Hungary – the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) told MTI on Monday.
According to the information, the Republic of South Africa, Hong Kong, Israel and Japan has introduced restrictions on live poltry, hatching eggs, poultry meat and meat products.
Within the European Union poultry products can be shipped from zones that are not under restrictions (protection or surveillance area) – they added. (MTI)
