Tesco wants more female managers
Tesco published its Diversity Report for the second time in 2022. The purpose of the report is to summarize the company’s achievements and plans in relation to diversity and inclusion, and to identify areas where there is still work to be done. The report presents career opportunities for people with disabilities, women and young people, and this year also includes the differences between the total earnings of women and men.

Diversity is the main goal
But what do we mean by diversity?
The Diversity Charter established in Hungary in 2016 defined five areas that are so-called can be considered diversity challenges: age and generational challenges; physical and mental abilities, differences; ethnicity; gender differences; religion and world view.
The main objective of the companies signing the charter is to promote the creation of diverse workplaces in our country. These companies voluntarily undertook to respect equal treatment during their operations and actively contribute to the creation of a diverse organizational culture in Hungary. Among the signatories is Tesco: the department store chain, which employs more than 10,000 people, published its Diversity Report related to the program for the second time this year. This is common for a large company in Western Europe, the United States, or some Asian countries, but it is typical of few companies in Hungary.
