METRO: 74 million HUF worth food to the people in need
Bakery and dairy products, vegetables and fruit, cold cuts, meat, fish and other non-perishable food products were sent to the needy in a value of 74,025,426 million HUF in the scope of the “Express shipping from the store to the needy” project of the METRO Kereskedelmi Kft. and the Hungarian Food Bank Association.
In the scope of the joint project of METRO and the Hungarian Food Bank Association, more than 22,000 basic food products were delivered to people in need. The goal of the program was to save the food from METRO stores that are close to maturity or aesthetic defective. These products were delivered to the needy through the Hungarian Food Bank Association.
