The amount of tenders for the development of livestock farms has more than quintupled
The government has increased the budget for tenders for the modernization of livestock farms fivefold, so those concerned can receive 260 billion HUF instead of 50 billion HUF, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István announced on Friday in Hajdúnánás-Kendereskert, where he handed over support contracts to 51 winning farmers in the county.
Nagy István emphasized that increasing subsidies will be decisive for the future of renewable Hungarian agriculture. As he put it, “we are past a difficult time, African swine fever and bird flu have hit the economy alongside Covid, but the agri-food economy has not stopped”. (MTI)
