The unemployment rate of the euro area is down
The number of unemployed and the unemployment rate fell to its eight year nadir in June in the euro area, which shows that Europe’s economic recovery is intensifying further.
The European Union’s statistical office (Eurostat) announced on Monday that the seasonally adjusted data show that the unemployment rate in the euro area has fallen to 9.1 percent in June, which has been the lowest since February 2009. In May, the indicator stood at 9.2 percent, while in June last year it was still 10.1 percent. (MTI)
