The number of overnight stays increased by more than three percent in the Central Danubian region
In the January-September period, the number of overnight stays increased by 3.5 percent in the Central Danubian region over the same period of the previous year – the Hungarian National Tourist Office’s Central Transdanubian Directorate said at a press conference held in Székesfehérvár on Tuesday.
Lencsés Tamara regional marketing director, said that the number of guests increased by 2.9 percent, while the average length of stay increased by 0.6 percent, compared to last year. The 339,407 guests spent 809,201 guest nights at the commercial accommodations.
The most important source market remains Germany, ahead of Austria, the Netherlands, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. (MTI)
