Cerbona expanded its production capacity by more than HUF one billion
Cerbona Zrt expanded its production capacity by more than HUF one billion.
At Thursday’s press conference, CEO Tamás Mészáros said that with the new production line, the company now has ten production lines, while the investment could double the company’s muesli bar production capacity. He indicated that the investment was financed with own resources and loans, and at the same time new jobs were created.
He announced that ten domestic and international companies worked on the individually developed machine line, which consists of Hungarian, Slovak and Italian machine units. He noted that thanks to the development, their deliveries abroad can be expanded, reaching Western European regions in addition to the Central and Eastern European market.
Tamás Mészáros emphasized that, after the capacity expansion, Cerbona can produce 4,000 tons of muesli slices per year with four machine lines, which means more than 150 million pieces. This is also a serious capacity at the regional level, he added.
Attila Pókecz, the owner of the company, talked about the purchase of the Boci brand from Nestlé, which is a completely different area for Cerbona. The chocolate brand is a new challenge for them, which can be a serious asset to their portfolio in the long term.
According to public company data, Cerbona Zrt., which employs a little more than 140 people, achieved HUF 7.125 billion in net sales and HUF 762 million in profit after tax in the 2023 business year. A year earlier, it realized HUF 1.696 billion in sales and HUF 184 million in profit.
